On Wednesday, July 4th 2012, LandminesinAfrica.org hosted the "This Frisbee Clears Mines Tournament" with support from the Washington Area Frisbee Club to benefit MAG America's landmine clearance activities.
Despite the 100 degree heat, forty players showed up and after being dividing into teams representing Angola, Egypt, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Libya, the games got underway. Team DRC and Team Libya proved to be the cream of the randomly-drawn crop with Team Libya (pictured) eventually being crowned champions of what we hope will be the first of many annual tournaments.
Many thanks to Aaron, Candace and Colby for their help in preparations.
Thanks also to the MAG America crew: Caitlin, Danielle and Robin for helping out on the day of.

See you next year!
