F.C.C.L.A, or Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, builds leaders for healthy families, successful careers, and strong communities. It is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
This year Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (or F.C.C.L.A.) Bremerton Chapter decided to kick off the 2011-2012 school year with our largest out reach project yet- Run of Hope. The Run of Hope has been an important aspect to Children's Hospital the two years prior and we, as a chapter, decided that going to Seattle and raising money to help save the lives of youth like ourselves was a brilliant plan that was right up our alley.
Run of Hope, now on its third year running, is an annual 3K walk/5K run at Steward Park in Seattle in which people raise money for pediatric brain tumor research. Hundreds of people raise thousands of dollars to help the youth of today survive to be the future of tomorrow. This year's event is on September 25th beginning at 10 am.
Now, we're asking you to help us reach our goal of $400 between now and September 25th for the Run of Hope. All proceeds go directly to Children's Hospital in order to help with pediatric brain tumor research. So please, help us help others and donate.
