Laura Cobb's Fundraising Page

Thank You for visiting my Hungry For Life team fundraising page. This team was created in honor of Dennis M. Rich Jr. who lost his battle to cancer in October 2007. Dennis is survived by his wife Jodi, three beautiful daughters, and a wonderful family who are all dedicated to do what they can in order to raise money to help Cancer Research.

Team Hungry For Life was over 100 strong and a huge success in 2008. With the help of many individuals, Team Hungry For Life raised $7,675.00! We are hoping to be bigger and better this year!

This Year I will be walking in memory of my Aunt Nancy.  My family and I have been walking in her honor since I was about 5 years old.  18 years later here I am :). In June of 1989 Nancy was diagnosed with Melanoma and two short months later she passed away on August 13th.  My Aunt Nancy was an amazing person whose life was cut way to short.  She was survived by her three boys Bill, David, and Michael, as well as her loving Husband Bill Kocur.  She loved her family more than anything in the world; she loved spending all of her time with them.  One of her favorite things to do was bake, she made cookies, brownies, cupcakes, you name it she made it and the boys would come home from school and these treats would be awaiting them.

My Aunt was absolutely beautiful inside and out, and when she was diagnosed with Melanoma her biggest concern was losing her hair.  Because of this concern her family made sure she always had a wig to make her feel comfortable.  Along with her long beautiful hair I'll always remember her long bright red fingernails that never went unpolished.  She loved her strawberry daiquiris twice a year on special occasions other than that she never drank. She spent most of her time in school acing every class to be a teacher and she was so close to finishing.

As you can tell by what you are reading she was an all around a great person whose life was unfortunately taken at the young age of 37.
