In Loving Memory of
Gabrielle Jean Miyara
November 8, 1962 - February 3, 1999
and
Rachel Suzanne Hoyt
February 11, 1970 - January 19, 1995
...you may find joy and unbelievable freedom from within as you rise to the occasion and show life that as it takes, you become stronger. As the path begins to twist and turn, you become an experienced navigator. Whatever is taken or lost, there is more and it is better because you got it from within--no one gave it to you or told you it was there. You found it yourself and that cannot be stolen. That is what life essentially is, the 'real' that you find in yourself--that is all it is."
--Rachel Hoyt, 1994--after her diagnosis with PH
Gabrielle and Rachel had indescribable strength, courage and grace in the face of a debilitating illness. Although it has been many years since the passing of our loved ones, we continue to benefit daily by reflecting on the courage they exhibited in their lives.
We hope that you will join us in remembering Gabrielle and Rachel by contributing to the 2nd Gabrielle Miyara and Rachel Hoyt Memorial Research Grant. We are almost there! We need to raise $35,000 to fully support an expert PH researcher to put his or her research concept into action! We are excited about this research opportunity, which will place us one step closer to the cure.
Today, hundreds of individuals are passionately engaged in the fight against PH and much progress has been made on the scientific front. However, PH is still a deadly disease and research is key to ending this devastation. This is why we need your help. All donations will be used solely to fund innovative, peer-reviewed research designed to identify a cure for pulmonary hypertension.

Thank you in advance for helping us to remember these two amazing women in a way that will help countless others.
With hope and appreciation,
Laura Hoyt D'Anna (Rachel's loving sister) and
Lisa Miyara (Gabrielle's loving sister-in-law)
