TEAM DOUR (pls go 2 my sister's WWW.FIRSTGIVING.COM/LILSIS
I have had some requests to update my previous LAURA DOUR / TEAM DOUR fundraising page to ensure it currently links to my sister's (Sue Handchetz) 'www.firstgiving.com/LILSIS latest Sjogrens Fundraising Event - Memphis Rock-N-Roll Country Music Marathon & Half-Marathon, April, 2010. Having Sjogrens, I greatly appreciate any funds made to the Sjogrens Syndrome Foundation (proceeds go directly to SSF.org) but ask that you be kind enough to donate using my sister's link, www.firstgiving.com/LILSIS. Susan is a tireless supporter of Sjogrens Awareness & Fundraising as well as a HUGE help to me during trying times. SHE IS MY HERO! I want to make sure she receives the fundraising credit on her page since she will actually be running the race next month in Memphis on my behalf.
- Determined to raise enough awareness about Sjogrens that I'm hopeful it will be an autoimmune disease of the past before my girls reach adulthood. While I had been quite hopeful about last October's trip to Mayo Clinic and last December's aggressive chemo infusions, I am crushed to update that the infusions were unsuccessful and also caused a week of hospital isolation in January with an extremely dangerous case of Neutropenia (only 1.1 WBC Total w/ 0 Neutrophils and 104.5 febrile illness). I am heading back to Mayo in April with two Sjogrens repair surgeries planned upon return ~ hopefully we turn a corner to better news/results.
Kind Regards, Laura Dour (and family)
