On April 19th, 2009 I will be running my first half marathon with my mission to get the word out about the Great Ape Protection Act (GAPA) H.R.5852, a historic bill that seeks to prohibit:

* Invasive research on great apes in the U.S.

*Federal funding of this invasive research in and outside of the U.S.

*The transport of great apes for invasive research

*The breeding of great apes for invasive research 
 

By sponsoring my run, you will be:

* Helping to fund Project R&R: Release and Restitution, a campaign of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society (NEAVS), whose mission is to end the use of chimpanzees in biomedical research and testing and to help provide chimps with release and restitution in permanent sanctuary

* Promoting the end of harmful and lethal research on great apes

* Supporting my effort and committment to increase awareness about GAPA

* Supporting higher standards for "ethical" science

I am asking for your support of $13.00 ( 1 dollar for every mile I run). However, any donation amount, whether it be $1 or $100, is greatly appreciated! Don't be shy!
