Every year Katie's cheerleading team participates in The UMass Walk to Cure Cancer.  This event is close to our hearts as Brian's sister lost a very short battle to cancer just two years ago.  Not to mention the several other family members and friends who have also lost their battles or are so courageously fighting them now. 

Katie is hoping to raise some money in honor of her Aunt and all others who have suffered the loss of a loved one to cancer in hopes that one day there will be a cure. We are hoping that we can find 100 friends to donate $5 each. 

Together we can make a difference!

The wlak will take place on Sunday, September 26,2010.  The five mile walk-a-thon raises funds to benefit cancer research, equipment, facilities and world-renowned medical professionals at the UMass Memorial Cancer Center of Excellence. Now in its 12th year, over 50,000 walkers have joined the Walk to Cure Cancer and raised over $6 million.
