Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! Let me tell you a little about why I am running the Boston Marathon and what Boston Partners in Education means to me. Feel free to pass this site along to anyone who may be interested!

I am a public school employee and providing quality public education is a passion of mine. I truly believe that every student deserves an equal education regardless of their income. Boston Partners helps to achieve this through training and placing volunteers in Boston Public Schools. What Boston Partners provides is unique in that volunteers are trained to work with these students. They are using proven teaching methods and know the child's curriculum. This is key in using volunteers effectively.

While living in Boston, I had the opportunity to work for this organization and see their impact on thousands of students. Last year alone, BPE reached nearly 6,000 students! Even though I have moved out of Boston, and perhaps you do not live in Boston, your donation will still impact urban students in need of support and services beyond what each school building can provide alone. Together we can make the difference in students lives! Over the next 5 months I will run over 576 miles, train in frigid temps, rain and snow, work a 3rd part time job to contibute to this cause, travel over 1,000 miles, and complete my first marathon! Your support of my mission is greatly appreciated.
