Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you all so much for visiting our Stepping Up for Down syndrome site. The name has changed but it is still the same great event as before!
This year has been filled with many accomplishments! Emerson has made great strides in all areas of development. Our family feels that she has come so far partly due to the amazing resources, contacts, and support that we have received from the families in the Down Syndrome Association. We are extremely grateful that they have guided us on this journey.
This year we are thrilled that Emerson will be walking around Lake Eola with her Entourage. She loves the freedom walking as allowed her. She has become very busy "wondering" around! She now has a vocabulary of about 20 words; her favorite is definitely Molly (our cat). Emerson loves to dance, read, and play outside. She continues to be a sweet little girl with a bit of stubbornness! Most importantly, Emerson is the light of our lives and has made us appreciate every moment!
*This year we have partnered with an amazing man and photographer. Nelson’s Photography has graciously offered a
free mini photo session for anyone who pledges $75 or more to Emerson’s Entourage. You simply make the donation on Emerson’s Entourage’s Firstgiving site and Nelson will be in contact with you to schedule your photo shoot. All photo shoots will be held at Cypress Grove Park (off of Holden Ave/Orange Ave) on September 5th. He will be scheduling 30 minute sessions per family.
