UPDATE #2, April 1: Received my official bib number! Now anyone can receive text message updates as I run! Simply text the word RUNNER to 31901 and respond to the message they send you with my bib number, 27192. Then on race day you'll be notified when I reach the 10K mark, half-way, 30K, and the finish!

On April 19, 2010, I will embark on the lunatic journey that is running a Marathon. Training with Tufts and running through Boston on Patrioit's Day has been a goal of mine since high school, and it's finally time to do it! As many of you know, I have been addicted to running since I started cross country in high school, and despite the fact that I started as the slowest person on our team; having never run more than a mile, here I am training for 26.2.
Many of you have provided incredible support, from pouring me water when I get home to sitting with me when I'm sweaty and asking me about my run. And now more than ever I need your help to make it through Boston.
I have a fundraising goal of $5,000-- all of which will go towards the Gay Men's Domestic Violence Project. This is an incredible organization in Cambridge that provides both direct client services, assisting those in abusive relationships, and education, promoting awareness about domestic violence among homosexual couples.
Donating through this website is very easy, and completely secure. If you feel more comfortable sending a check, I can give you my personal address and I will personally drop it of with the people at GMDVP. No amount is too little, and I greatly appreciate your support. Please consider donating at the following levels:
*$26.00- A dollar per mile for the entire race
*$7.00- A dollar for each day left until the marathon (yikes!)
*$92.00- A dollar for each of the runs I have been on since training started
*$100- A dollar for all the cups of gatorade I've been drinking
