Okay, this is a big one.

1.2 mile swim + 56 mile bike + 13.1 mile run = Steelhead 70.3

The two reasons I would do this: I was in need of a new challenge and it's a way that I, with your help, can make a real impact in Africa. I'm continuing to raise money this year to help provide clean water to families in need. When a community gains access to clean water, the infant mortality rate is cut in half (in half!), children can attend school instead of walking to the well, women can spend time making money to support their families instead of gathering water...and that's just the beginning.

How would we describe water? We'd say it keeps us healthy, it tastes good, it's refreshing, it's free. In Africa, they say, "Water is life." Because there they know the harsh reality without it.

You can help give life. Whatever the amount, it really does make a difference.
