Be Kind...Get on Board, Support Team Noah's Ark!
Put on your walking shoes and set sail for the DSOSN 11th Annual Buddy Walk!
This year, we are excited to add a very important message to our Buddy Walk fundraising campaign: Be Kind. The Josh Stevens Foundation's mission is to inspire more individuals to be more kind, more often. We would like for every person, who meets Noah and/or any other individual with Down syndrome, to accept and respect individuals with Down syndrome for their abilities/contributions and treat them with genuine kindness - Kind like Josh. For more information about the Josh Stevens Foundation, visit their website at www.joshstevensfoundation.org.
Since last year, a lot of exciting things have happened. Noah is using some sign language to communicate with us, feeding himself and even using a spoon and fork. He is pulling to stand, cruising furniture to even walking in his fancy gold walker (nothing but the best for Noah)! We are hoping that Noah will cross the finish line this year taking independent steps! He is making lots of sounds and loves to gesture to his favorite songs. We have enjoyed having the summer off together. Noah loves going to Music Together classes, library story times, Gymboree and hanging out with his therapists. Of course, his favorite thing to do is play with his twin brother Ari.
David continues to serve on the DSOSN Board as the Board of Director, advocating for Noah and many other families. We took our annual trip to the National Down Syndrome Congress Conference (in San Antonio, TX) where we had an amazing time catching up with great friends and learning from the different presenters/therapists! We are looking forward to next year's conference - Look out Washington D.C., the Frydman family is coming your way!
Thank you to everyone who made a donation to Team Noah's Ark last year. We hope to reach and even surpass last year's goal. Join Team Noah at this year's Buddy Walk on Saturday, October 1st at Kellogg-Zaher Park (to register, visit www.dsosn.org). All of the money that will be raised will support the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada's current programs and members.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Thank you so much for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Don't miss out on a little something exta!
