Thank you for sponsoring me for the Police Unity Ride 2009. It is a privledge for me to take part in such a meaningful event. It is important to me to take an active role in supporting the families of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. It is equally important to me to support the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum in Washington, DC.
I will ride my bicycle from Newark, NJ to Washington DC starting May 9, 2009 and will arrive at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC on May 12, 2009. I will be riding in a group of over 500 Law Enforcement Officers from New Jersey, New York as well as Law Enforcement Officers from around the world.
I will be riding in honor of Philadelphia Police Sergeant Timothy Simpson who was killed in the line of duty on November 17, 2008. I will present a personalized memorial bracelet to the surviving family of Sgt. Simposon at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. prior to Sgt. Simpson being honored by the memorial.
Please help me support the family of Sgt. Simpson and all families and survivors of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving the citizens of this country.
