Adam and Leann will Conquer the Canyon
Adam and I have decided to hike the Grand Canyon this October and raise money for a cause we believe in. We have seen too many friends and family members suffer through chemo and radiation treatments and want to support a cause that will treat cancer without all the awful side effects of traditional cancer treatments. Adam's father lost his battle with cancer after two years of battling this disease and we dedicate this event to his loving memory.
We committed to raise $4,000 for the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) so that they can do their important work in finding ways to prevent and treat cancer by enabling our immune systems to fight the cancer cells. We are asking each of you to help us reach our goal by making a tax-deductible contribution.
Recently research and trials funded by CRI led to the first FDA approved vaccine to treat cancer! This is just the beginning and we hope that the money and awareness from this event will lead to many more such advances.
All of the money you give goes directly to the Cancer Research Institute, a 4-star charity (Charity Navigator) that's advancing immunology to conquer cancer. We hope you will partner with us to do our part in fighting these devastating diseases.
We plan on documenting the process with pictures--from the intensive training to prepare for the hike to the quiet wonder at the magnificent views the Grand Canyon offers.
