Before deciding to participate in this event, I prayed about it and felt led to give in this way. This hike is way for me to honor the memory of my grandmother, Anna, and the many friends I know who have suffered from Cancer either directly or through a family member. After researching the Cancer Research Institute, I feel this is the best way for me, at this time in my life, to raise money for research on cancer prevention and treatment. 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting the research efforts of the institute.

In addition to supporting an organization I believe in, hiking the Grand Canyon is something I have always wanted to do and this is a great way to achieve this goal.
