Calling All Riders!  I'm told this is an incredible ride.  If you like to ride, please participate in the event on Sunday, May 3rd.  Last year there were 650 motorcycles in the Los Angeles ride!  It is a non-stop, police excorted, 30-mile ride through the Pales Verdes Pennisula.  The ride starts and ends at American Honda Motor Co. in Torrance.  The L.A. event raised $274,855 last year.

Registration: 8:00-9:45 a.m.

Minimum Donation:  $35 per motorcycle

Food:  FREE beverages, breakfast pastries and light lunch

Grand Prize:  Honda Motorcyle, eligible riders earn one chance to win for each $300 donation. 

Ride for Kids is a national event.  The Los Angeles event is the 4th of the year.  Please be sure to forward this information to anyone who loves to ride, there may be a ride near them.  There are 40 rides scheduled throughout the country, throughout the year.  The schedule of events can be found at www.rideforkids.org. 

The Ride for Kids supports the the efforts of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.  A non-profit charitable 501(c) (3) foundation.   We raise money to fund medical research* increase public awareness about the severity and prevalence of childhood brain tumors* aid in early detection and treatment of childhood brain tumors*support a national database on all primary brain tumors* provide hope and emotional support for the thousands of children and their families affected by this life threatening disease* fund a Collage scholorship for survivors.

Brain tumors are the deadliest type of childhood cancer.

Everyday nine (9) families are told that a child of theirs has a Brain Tumor.  Of those families, four (4) of the children will not survive.

Your donation , no matter how large or small, becomes a symbol of hope to the children and their families as they face the challenge of daily life, hoping the next medical discovery will be the key to a healthy future.
