Occupation: Professional Comedian
What is your dance experience? I can bust a move, but I never got to take dance lessons. I was raised in farming country and my mama couldn't drive.
Why are you doing this event? East Tennessee Children's Hospital is a blessing to our region and our community. They have tended to my family so beautifully over the years, it's the least I can do.
Why should people vote for you? People should vote for these reasons: (1) I'm the comedy voice of moms across this country and I represent Knoxville and The University of Tennessee to the best of my abilities. And I do it with three teenagers making fun of me the entire time. (2) Women say they're married to "my husband" or they think I'm looking in their window. In other words, people relate to me. Paula Deen once introduced me by saying "she's not a size 2." I will dance my heart out with a big butt, plantar fasciitis and a spray tan that hopefully makes me appear seven pounds thinner. (3) I need a challenge at 47 years old and this is more fun than a marathon and I don't think I'll end up in a boot. (4) I love the darling radio and television personalties that are in this, but darn it, they have a platform to ask for money every day. I don't have that. I'm either on the road, doing laundry or trying to lose weight with my best friend, Church of God Becky. (5) David Keith is a movie star. I have brain fog and I'm gluten intolerant.
Anything else you would like to add? East Tennessee Children's Hospital has asked me every year to participate in this special event and there was always a conflict. I'm thankful I can dance this year. This is a wonderful cause and a special bunch of people. What a blessing!
