Team Zaimi

On Tuesday August 30 of this year, I both celebrated my son's 7th birthday and mourned the passing of my husband's esteemed colleague, business partner and friend Shariar Zaimi. Beloved husband to Laura, cherished father to Nick, Aaron and Ryan, he lost his fight with Melanoma. He was a youthful 57.

Shawn, my husband, met Shariar while attending the Wharton School of Business, 2004-06. It was there that a friendship developed and a business plan ensued. Our destinies collided. With urging from Shariar, my family moved to the DC area and a new pathway was forged. We put our faith in the guy with the fantastic smile. It was the best decision of our lives.

On November 6, I plan to run the NYC Marathon to honor the life of Shariar Zaimi and provide what little solace I can to Laura and the boys. Although nothing we do can ease the family's extreme pain, it is with your expression of giving that we can support them through this unbelievably difficult time.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Together, we can do something to fight the worlds fastest growing cancer. In memory of Shariar, please donate whatever you can.
