We have chosen to make this charity our primary cause among the many available because it combines our love for riding and helping the many children and families that cannot and should not fight this deadliest of childhood cancers alone.  We have participated in the Houston event every year since 1998 and work throughout the year to increase awareness and raise funds.

The Ride for Kids event is an annual motorcycle ride raising money for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.  The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is a non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) foundation that seeks to:  find the cause and cure of childhood brain tumors through the support of medical research, increase public awareness about the severity and prevalence of childhood brain tumors, aid in early detection and treatment of childhood brain tumors, and provide hope and emotional support for the thousands of children and families affected by this life threatening disease.  There will be 39 of these events across the United States in 2009.

Your donation, no matter how large or small becomes a symbol of hope to the children and their families, as they face the challenge of daily life, hoping the next medical discovery will be the key to a healthy future.

We wanted to thank everyone personally and update you on our fundraising progress.  We have been busy every weekend since the end of January, visiting motorcycle dealers and related businesses putting up posters and leaving ride kits as well as visiting motorcycle groups to encourage people to raise additional funds; all to publicize the Ride for Kids event.   And it's been fun.  But the fun's not over yet!

This Sunday, April 26th, is the big Ride for Kids event (rideforkids.html)  If you are in the area, please stop by and visit with us; we will be under the red "Ride for Kids/Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation" tent for Patient/Family registration.  We do this for the children.
