The Blubirds are at it again. Don Reinberg, Leslie Flint, Len & Patti Blumin will spend 24 hours searching for local bird species in support of the 2010 PRBO Conservation Science Bird-A-Thon. We are all committed to supporting PRBO's mission, and by supporting our effort you will be making a contribution to their important ongoing research and conservation efforts, both locally and worldwide. Please join us. Support to date has been fantastic, so we just raised the goal to $2,000. 

We're completed our 24 hour Bird-A-Thon at 1 pm, September 23rd, and by now most of you have seen a summary of the day and the special birds we were able to see. We totaled 123 species, surpassing our 2009 BAT total of 113 species. If you'd like to make a donationyou can use this FirstGiving page to make it happen. The actual cost of using FirstGiving is quite minimal and works well with the PRBO fundraising policies. The amount of your contribution will not be published, and you can also keep your identity private if you wish. You can choose a flat rate amount (we have no upper or lower limits - every bit helps, or give a set amount for each species and multiply by 123.

We are planning a half day birding trip locally to which all donor to the Blubird effort will be invited.
