Len Blumin's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! Patti Blumin, Len Blumin, Don Reinberg, and Leslie Flint are the "Bluebirds" for the 2009 PRBO Bird-A-Thon.
Peregrine Falcons were once endangered by human activity, when widespread use of DDT caused decreased breeding success in many avian species. Peregrines have since made a good recovery and now seen widely.. Rich Stallcup found these Peregrine chicks for our group on a visit to Pt. Reyes "Outer Point", where Rich cut his "birding teeth" as a younster some decades ago.
Rich went on to help found the Pt. Reyes Bird Observatory, which started as a spartan outpost in the hinterlands, and has grown through the years to become a leading player in Conservation Science. Visit their website at www.PRBO.org and learn more about the incredible and diverse efforts being made by PRBO to monitor and conserve wildlife resources, both here and abroad.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. Just click on "Sponsor Me Now" and enter an amount. We expect to see about 100 species, so if you'd like to give 25 cents per species that would be $25. This method is the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. If you'd prefer to donate to PRBO directly we can send you a pledge card.Just email your address to Patti, Len, Don, or Leslie.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
