YAY!!!! Tails on the Trail 2011 is almost here! Our 2nd annual dog-friendly 5k to raise money for Helping Hands Humane Society! Last year was so awesome and the turnout was amazing. We actually ran out of bib #'s and had to use construction paper and markers for handmade bib #'s! I was told to expect 80-120 people for a first time event. The last bib # I saw was for 212!!! And dogs were actually adopted on the day of the event, which is the whole reason I am doing this.

Usually I do online fundraising for Paws in the Park, the humane society's annual fundraiser in September. I was conflicted this year because I wanted to raise money for Tails on the Trail too. So I've decided that I'm going to split the profits. Half will go to Paws in the Park (proceeds go towards daily expenses to run the shelter) and the other half will go towards Tails on the Trail (proceeds go toward getting them moved in to the new facility on 21st and Belle).

Which means I have to raise even more this year! As you know, donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure.
