2011 Climb to Conquer SADS
Dear Family & Friends,
Thank you for visting our fundraising page honoring our precious Rebecca who's life was suddenly taken by a SADS condition (long QT syndrome) in 2003. As most of you know it was very difficult to get a proper diagnosis of Rebecca's sudden death, the road we faced was brutal and long, not only grieving the loss of Rebecca we also had to struggle with all the unanswered questions why Rebecca's life was cut far to short at only 4 years 8 months. In the months to follow I started a heated affair with google, night and day was spen with the search engine in quest for answers. I discovered SADS, they helped me on the right path, the pieces was being put back together slowly, very slowly, but surely. I got in contact with Dr. Ackerman at the MAYO clinic in Rochester MN. Dr. Ackerman and his fine staff was able to diagnose Rebcca's condition and has since diagnosed both myself and our other daughter Ellie with same SADS condition. Long QT type1. Ellie is now 7 years old, she is thriving and doing well. Ellie is on a beta blocker twice daily, she is a real trooper and proud that she can swallow a pill. Ellie also carries with her a external defibrillator and we got a seperate one istalled at her school as well. She is a active healthy little 7 year old and you wouldn't know what a serious condition she has unless you were told. SADS is serious, we did not have any warning signs on Rebecca, her first episode was sudden death. Please help us to reach out and support this noble cause. On July 7th. fine mountain climbers will set out on a quest to reach the top of Mount Raineer honoring our loved ones who suffer from SADS and for our loved ones who have gone before us. Please reach deep within your hearts and support us. No donation is to big or small. May God bless you always.
Blessings,Morgan, Ellie & Katheirne

Thank you for joining our campaign to save lives by raising money to continue patient family support and SADS education programs. Several thousand young people die unnecessarily each year from SADS (Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes) in the United States, and education is the answer.
Funds raised through the Climb to Conquer SADS will:
- Provide Family Support to assist patients and their families in making informed medical decisions and living with the challenges of these conditions
- Increase General Awareness of Warning Signs to recognize and prevent heart rhythm abnormalities
- Educate Health Care Professionals in early diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm abnormalities
- Be Advocates to increase arrhythmia research and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
