Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. This June it is my honor to be walking for my friend Adriane Schorr. Adriane was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 2003. Scleroderma is a chronic, often progressive disease that can be life-threatening. It can cause thickening and tightening of skin, as well as serious damage to internal organs including the lungs, heart, kidneys, esophagus and gastrointestinal tract. To date, there is no known cause or cure for Scleroderma.
I have known Adriane for 13 years. I can even remember the first time I met Adriane at Elmwood Day Camp when her daughter Allison was just turning 3 years old. Shortly after I started to babysit for her children and our friendship continued to grow. Adriane has always been a wonderful friend. She is one of the strongest, most beautiful and caring people that I know. Her smile alone is contagious. I am truly blessed to have her in my life. Although Adriane is faced with challenges each and every day of her life, she continues to be strong and fight with optimism. I am asking you, all my family and friends, to please support me in The Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma Walk. Please give what you can - any amount is appreciated! Making a donation is really easy- you can donate online by clicking on my page www.firstgiving.com/lesliflick or by sending a check to me at: 39 Elaine Rd/ Milford, CT 06460. Of course, both methods are tax deductible and sent directly to the Scleroderma Foundation- Tri State Chapter. I'd love your help in raising money to promote awareness of and to find a cure for this often unheard of disease.
Thank you so very much.
