Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma 2011 - Ridgefield Park
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. On June 5th, it is my honor to once again be walking for my friend Adriane Schorr. Adriane was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 2003. Scleroderma is a chronic, often progressive disease that can be life-threatening. It can cause thickening and tightening of skin, as well as serious damage to internal organs including the lungs, heart, kidneys, esophagus and gastrointestinal tract. To date, there is no known cause or cure for Scleroderma.
I have been friends with Adriane for 15 years. She has taught me that a smile can go along way. Anyone that knows Adriane can attest that her presence alone can light up a room. I feel so lucky to know Adriane and more-so to have her as such a good friend. Every year I feel more blessed to have her in my life. It is so unfair that she has to suffer from this disease. Although Adriane is faced with challenges each and every day of her life, she continues to be strong and fight with optimism.
