Lesly's Polar Plunge Extravaganza
Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page!
As you may know, the Polar Plunge has become an annual tradition for me. Every year, I take a dip in the fridged water just for the fun of it. Really, no one forces me... I do it by my own free will. Last year, I actually took the plunge twice! Crazy? Yes! But it's for a fantastic organization - well worth the temporary lapse of judgment!!! All you have to do to get me to jump in, is help me to reach my fundraising goal of $1000.
I’m collecting donations from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 6,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.
The Torch Run, the single largest year-round fundraising vehicle benefiting Special Olympics Illinois, raised more than $2.9 million in 2010 to make Illinois the second highest grossing Torch Run program in the world. That’s quite a difference from the $14,039.93 raised in its inaugural year of 1986. All money I raise for my plunge will be added to this year's Torch Run total - all of which will go to the Special Olympics Illinois program.
If you know of someone who might be interested in donating, please feel free to share this page with them! THANKS!!!!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.
