Lexi Pettit
2010 Fight for Lexi Walkathon
Last year the "Fight for Lexi" team came in 1st Place! Our victory is because of your financial support! Having a child with a Chronic, Incurable illness has taught us to concentrate on "What You Can Do" not "What You Can't Do". What we Can Do is raise money to help fund research so that someday Lexi and all the Scleroderma sufferers can have a Cure. It is empowering to know that you are helping your child in such a profound way. Please join us in supporting the 2010 Scleroderma Walkathon. Let's duplicate last years' victory and win the 1st place trophy again. To date the "Fight for Lexi" campaign has raised over $140,000 with your support of the Walkathon, Gala and our tremendously successful inaugural "Fight for Lexi Charity Golf Tournament". This year the tournament will be August 23rd at Dove Canyon Country Club.
Lexi has fought back a 2nd autoimmune attack. She continues on chemotherapy, but someday would like to be free from the treatments. Her smile is pervasive and she continues to be an inspiration to us all! This summer she will be going to Washington DC to meet with members of Congress to urge them to support the Scleroderma Awareness bill that will generate over a million dollars. Last October she had the swine flu and could not travel with the Foundation.
We are making a difference in the lives of so many that suffer from this incurable disease. Words can never convey our thankfulness for all you have done financially. Your prayers and heartfelt support have uplifted us through this difficult time. Thank you so very much! We would love to have you join us on June 6th at La Mirada Park for the Walkathon...
