2011 Autism Puzzle Walk
Braden was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when he was 9 years old. Braden now has an additional diagnosis of General Anxiety Disorder which is quite severe.
He started Schoo Middle School as a 6th Grader in August of 2010. He has not been able to attend his school this year due to the debilitating social anxiety this causes him. Social anxiety is, for many with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, a key component.
Brian, I and the rest of our family love Braden. We support him. We knock on doors for help and even have been known to knock DOWN doors when needed. We cheer him on. We pick him up when he's down. We adore him.
What we wish for Braden, and all other individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder is acceptance and compassion from others. With all of us joining our hearts, minds and spare change (or more if you can) we can improve the lives of many people with Autism in Nebraska.
