Hi all...well we're getting very close to the actual event, the 8th Annual  HMEA  Independence 5K Walk/Run in the Park  is just 4 weeks away and things are really gearing up...but my fundraising efforts are lagging behind! So, I'm once again turning to my friends and family to help me and my niece Sharon, who is actually going to participate in the walk (maybe the run) with her family again this year (see the picture of my BEAUTIFUL grand nieces, those are Sharon's  daughters)

It is a difficult year for so many, the economy has hit everyone pretty hard, but I can guarantee that the people and families receiving supports from HMEA are among those who are hit the hardest. So I once again ask if you can spare "ANY" amount, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, whatever your can afford would be so greatly appreciated by these individuals and by me for your generous spirit. I also assure you the funds raised at this fundraiser are returned to the programs -- so you know you will be "....making a difference in someone's life!"
