Purpose:
To educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics in order to improve the quality of their lives. We blend the expertise of volunteers from the community with JA’s proven curricula. First, Junior Achievement recruits and carefully trains volunteers, who serve as both teacher and role model. Then we pair our volunteers with classrooms – K through 12 – where students are introduced to the concepts of economics and business in weekly classes. The kids walk away with knowledge and skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Globally, Junior Achievement will touch the lives of over six million students this year in over 100 countries. Locally, Junior Achievement of New Mexico will impact over 17,000 children.
