Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Lindsay Mallia, an Our Lady of Fatima School alumna, a recent graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette, Louisiana, and soon-to-be journalism major at Northwestern University.

 

This summer, August 6th-20th, 2009, I am planning to travel to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, Africa, to volunteer at an orphanage. There, my responsibilities will include entertaining the children, preparing food, and teaching.

 

I have always wanted to volunteer abroad, and I am so excited to finally be able to do so! However, the volunteer fee to go to Tanzania through United Planet is $2400, and I am responsible for paying my own airfare. To raise money, I amo doing odd jobs around the house and working at a local restaurant this summer. I know, though, that I will need to do some major fundraising to make up for the rest!

 

So, I am asking for your help. Anything you can donate to my cause would be much appreciated ($1 would be great!) Donating through this website is simple, fast and, most importantly, secure.
