I am walking in honor of Cooper Kim.  My good friend Kelly was pregnant when I was pregnant with my son Colton.  We were due within days of each other.  When Cooper was born he needed immediate medical attention.  He was taken to Children's where is stayed in their intensive care unit.  8 weeks after his birth he passed away after surgery to connect his stomach to his esophagus.

Kelly and Scott felt so fortunate to have their son at Children's.  It was the only home Cooper ever knew.  I know it brought them great comfort to know they could make decisions based on what medically was best for their son instead of what they could financially afford. 

We feel so fortunate to have Colton.  While he is a healthy and crazy little boy now, we know how quickly that can be taken away from us.  So I am hoping to raise money for any child who needs care and the parents who shouldn't have to choose between heath and money.
