Curing childhood cancer is very important to me because I lost my best friend, Mason, to cancer two years ago, when he was only ten years old. Mason was a really amazing person. His kindness and compassion earned him the nickname 'Mas the Ace'. Even when he was sick, he never complained once and was extremely brave. My favorite thing about Mason was that whenever he smiled, nobody else could help but smiling, too.
I was completely devastated when Mason passed away, so I can’t imagine how heart-broken his family must have been. No kids deserve cancer. I never want anybody to have to go through what Mason experienced, and I don't want anyone else to have to cope with losing someone special to cancer.
