On Monday, April 20, 2009, I will run the 113th Boston Marathon.  I am running for a reason much more important than the personal challenge of completing the 26.2 mile course.  I hope you will consider being one of my sponsors for this event.
 
All funds raised will support Samaritans, a nonprofit organization with the mission of reducing the risk of suicide and increasing awareness about suicide prevention throughout Greater Boston and MetroWest. Samaritans' volunteer-based, 24 Hour Befriending Services carefully train adult and teen volunteers to help prevent and reduce the risk of suicide. Samaritans also provides support for those who have lost a loved a one to suicide as well as community education to a variety of organizations throughout Greater Boston and Metrowest. Samaratins needs our help now more than ever.  Tough financial times including loss of jobs are one of the leading causes of suicide.
