Description: RBARI adheres to a "No-Kill" policy and its primary mission is to provide sanctuary and permanent, loving homes for the many animals (including feral, elderly, handicapped, and formerly abused animals) that come through our doors. The animals also receive bountiful amounts of love.

Mission: RBARI was formed in 1979 as a result of a merger between the Ramapo Animal Refuge and the Bergen Animal Rescue whose roots go back to 1967.RBARI's primary mission is to provide temporary sanctuary until permanent, loving homes can be found for the many homeless animals in its care (including feral, elderly, handicapped and formerly abused animals).
