This is Flash's and my 4th year helping to raise funds for the homeless Bassets in New England.

We never intended to become Basset owners, but 6 years ago, a helpless hound entered our life and things have never been the same. Our Flash was a rescue...he was found wandering a highway in southern Georgia, skin and bones, he had heartworm and mange and a whole laundry list of other ailments. The big hearted soul who found him was having difficulty getting him placed somewhere that would take care of him and his medical problems. We didnt have the heart to let this sweet hound go to the pound, so we took him in.

Up here in New England, we are fortunate enough to have the generous hearts of all those at NEBHR. Flash's days would never been numbered had he been up here with such a wonderful group of 'resuers'.
