Each year Basset Buddies Resccue, Inc. of Wisconsin, Minnesota & Northern Illinois rescues and re-homes countless Basset hounds otherwise finding themselves in need! Snickers is just one of the many resued by BBR this year.

At about 12 years of age she found herself in a very sad situation...he very loving family had to move to a location that did not accept pets. They were unsure what would happen to their beloved Snickers! Would anyone want an elderly basset with a rather large tumor on her eye lid? Of course! Without hesitation BBR welcomed Snickers into the BBR family and took care of the tumor on her eye!

Snickers found her forever home with her foster family! It was love at first sight! Since her adoption this wonderful gal has added so much love and enjoyment to her new forever family....just as all of the bassets looking for homes will do for their perfect forver families!

Without Basset Buddies is it possible Snickers may have been placed in a kennel setting where her true loving personality would never have come through. All BBR dogs are taken to the vet so they can be as healthy and happy as possible and live with a foster family so they are ready to fit right into their new homes! Families needing to find a new home for their beloved Basset feel comforted knowing their pet will be very well loved and cared for because of BBR. MANY people looking to add a new pet to their family also find their homes and their hearts are filled with BBR's help and adoption of a homeless Basset!
