Hello Friends!

My name is Bo. I was relinquished to Basset Buddies Rescue, Inc. when my family realized my brother and I no longer were getting the love and attention we deserved. My brother was adopted - but I have not found that perfect family yet. I've been with BBR for about 8 months now. I have some medical issues that make it hard for me to find a forever home. But I am very happy living with the Ritchie family right now!

My BBR family has helped me over come a physical weakness from too many steriods. They made my legs very weak and I have a hard time walking. My foster mom (Lisa) and the rest of my foster family have worked very hard helping me re-gain my strength. When I came to their home I was unable to walk more than 1/2 a block. Now? I am happy to report I can walk almost a mile! Not only has my foster family helped me...but the folks at Basset Buddies have helped by never saying "no" to any medical treatments I may need!

Not only is BBR taking care of me...but they are helpng the other 60 bassets currently looking for forever homes! BassetFest is BBR's biggest fundraiser. This is the time they ask loving people - just like you - to help out the other Homeless hounds looking for new homes. We all gather in Muskego, Wisconsin, on August 25 and 26 for a weekend of fun and games! I will be walking the Basset Mile to earn the money I have raised! The top fundraisers get to be "Super Heros" and I really want to be a Super Hero! My foster mom, Lisa, says I am a Super Hero no matter what! If it wasn't for people like the Ritchie Family houndies like me would probably have been put to sleep. But I - and my freinds at BBR we all  have been given a second chance!
