The Capital Humane Society is a private non-profit organization that has been providing service to Lincoln and the surrounding community since 1902. The Capital Humane Society cares for all animals that enter our doors, striving to reunite them with owners or place them with a new family. The Capital Humane Society has an active volunteer program, in which volunteers are involved in Pet Assisted Activity, the Humane Education program, Foster Care for young litters of kittens and puppies, pet socializing, grooming and general cleaning.
