Casa de Los Ninos of Tucson is my family's favorite charity/non-profit organizaiton. They do a terrific job providing shelter to abused and abandoned kids - children who don't have a choice, and are in difficult circumstances. Take a look at the Casa de los Ninos website at www.casadelosninos.org/ for more information about the great things they do for these disadvantaged kids.
I was 40 pounds overweight, and completely out of shape. Thanks to Take Shape For Life, that's all history, as I've regained my own health - I've since completed marathons and recently summitted 14,410' Mt. Rainier in Washington state. I also ride a hybrid bike called an ElliptiGo. It's a two-wheeled bike that looks like an elliptical machine, capable of 30 mph or greater. Check out the ElliptiGo at www.elliptigo.com/
Casa de Los Ninos has formed a relationship with El Tour de Tucson as part of their continuing fundraising efforts - what a great opportunity to raise money for this worthwile cause! My goal is to complete the full 111 mile course on the EllitpiGo bike - no easy task. You can track my training progress at www.runtastic.com/en/users/Paul-Emmert
Please join me in this worthy effort to help these kids who would otherwise be out on the street or in abusive circumstances. My fundraising goal on behalf of Casa de los Ninos is $2,000.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
