Liz Baker's Fundraising Page
This is the event where I met Becky and Amanda from Atlanta Lab Rescue and started down the volunteer path. I cannot express properly the feelings I have when I find the right home for one of the dogs I have fostered.
Without organizations like Atlanta Lab Rescue there would be many dogs without homes and more without lives. Those that have adopted a dog from ALR know their lives have been changed for the better by their new family memeber. I cannot imagine life without my dogs, they have been my companion thru good and bad and cheered me up when I have a bad day. They are always there to make me smile with their love.
By donating you will be helping other families get the same unconditional love that our dogs bring to us each day. The more money the rescue collects the more dogs it can save. Every dollar counts, $3 can buy heart worms preventative, $10 buys a prescription and $80 can get one of our dogs spayed or neutered. ALR does not discrimnate against dogs with health issues. They take in heartworm positive dogs each month, dogs with mange, elderly dogs and those that just have problems.
Check out the website www.labrescueofatlanta.com to see some of the dogs that the money you donate will help. Nothing is free when it comes to rescue, the vets give small discounts, sometimes ALR can get a generic prescrition from the drug store cheaper then the vet but not often, there are no free spay/neuter clinics and companies do not give away the heart wroma and flea meds.
Even as little as $1 can add up to one more life saves. Please donate what you are able, it will all benefit Atlanta Lab Rescue. Thank you!
