It’s fall – triathlon time in Washington!  Northwest Health Law Advocates (NoHLA) is once again entering teams (9) and 1 individual (new this year) in a triathlon on September 12th – Mercer Island Escape from the Rock.

I will be doing two legs of the race – ½ mile swim in Lake Washington and 12 mile bike over the lake on the I-90 floating bridge. I have been practicing this summer, and even attempted a swim in the Puget Sound.  Lake Washington is now looking very warm and appealing!!   I have yet to figure out how to get my wetsuit off in a timely fashion, so if there are reports of someone biking in a wetsuit it may be me!!

NoHLA is very excited about national health reform and committed to assuring that early implementation protects access and coverage for low and moderate-income Washingtonians.  Unfortunately, the State budget is again looking grim, meaning that we will have to fight to maintain state-funded health programs again this year.  PLEASE HELP US IN THIS IMPORTANT WORK.

We appreciate any contributions, no matter the size.  Donating through this website is simple, fast and secure. You are also welcome to send a check, made out to NoHLA, to:  NoHLA, 4759 15th Ave. NE, Suite 305, Seattle, WA 98105.

Thanks for your support!
