We rescued 3 month old Tilly out of Carson animal shelter, where she was turned in without a mommy or daddy. Sadly, Tilly became very sick in the shelter and tested positive for Parvo. If not treated right away, Parvo can be a deadly disease that many underage pups become victim of by being on public surfaces before their puppy shots are complete. The shelter called to let us know they were planning on euthanizing Tilly due to her poor condition if we did not come get her right away. We dropped everything and rushed over to the shelter immediately. Tilly was taken to our emergency vet right away. Despite how sick Tilly was, she still managed to wag her tail when being carried into the vets office. She must have known she would be safe!
For the next 3 days, Tilly received round the clock fluids and medication through IV’s. She had 24 hour supervision and by day 4 was finally ready to go into isolation in her foster home. Tilly beat the odds and is now living in her forever home with another cattle dog. With your support, we can help another dog such as Tilly who is in need. We are setting our fundraising goal to $1,500, which is the amount we spent on Tilly for her emergency care.
