Bardoli Globali Foundation's Fundraising Page

Dear Friend,

The internet is a phenomenally powerful tool that connects us all in sometimes unimaginable ways. I hope you'll help me leverage its power for good by joining me in iGot5, a unique online fundraising campaign for the Bardoli Global Foundation which depends almost entirely on the commitment, integrity, and vision of you and the people that you love. We ask that you spread this page to your friends and family (hopefully 5) for donations of $5, 10, 25, 50 and beyond. With your help, we can make this vision a movement.

Over the last 3 years, I've had the honor of dedicating my life to leading and building the Bardoli Global Foundation. Because of our efforts, since 2006, nearly 125 amazing students who attend high-needs schools in Metro Atlanta, Greater Houston, North Carolina and Washington D.C have lived and studied in 32 countries around the world. In most cases they have been the first person in their family to venture beyond the United States and to experience cultures and places of which their parents have only dreamed. Many of them are on their way to college for the first time in their family's history.

Moreover, they have returned home to explore and emulate the legacy of global achievement and service embodied by Mohandas Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Most of you know that my passion for this work has grown from my own life story. My colleagues and I do work in the belief that teachers and kids are worth it; that our children need and deserve the chance to be truly globally competitive.

This year, I am proud to say that the BG Foundation has officially partnered with the Andrew Young Center for International Affairs at my alma mater, Morehouse College, and moved to its permanent home in the Historic West End neighborhood of Southwest Atlanta. In January 2009, a new cohort of students and their teachers will enter the BG Scholars Program this year to travel the world, then transform themselves and their communities one project at a time.

I need your help not only to raise the $5,000 per student we need to supporting each of our scholars, but also to demonstrate to our larger funding partners and the world that even in tough economic times like these, we have strong support from forward thinking people like you to sustain us. Your donation is of course, tax deductible (a printed receipt is available from this website).

                                                                                             Always,

                                                                                             Anthony
