Friends, thank you for visiting my fundraising page. During this time of economic difficulty and uncertainity, I'd like to make sure that my attention is focused on raising money for a very important person: Sylvia Powell.

Sylvia Powell is a Bardoli Global Scholar from North Carolina. She's in the 11th grade and was awarded an opportunity to study abroad in Costa Rica. Sylvia will engage in a sequence of components for this fellowship which includes: studying in Costa Rica, rigorous socratic text-based studies, intensive language immersion institute, an internship with a private company, ngo, or government agency, and a social entrepreneurship & leadership project within her community upon return. The Bardoli Global Foundation provides access and opportunity for minority students through international education, professional and leadership training & development. I serve on the National Board of Directors for the Foundation (www.bardoliglobalfoundation.org).
