Hello, Friends!

Serah (to your left) is a vivacious 11th grade honors student at Carver Early College High School in Atlanta, GA. She is also a 2008 Bardoli Global Scholar (of which I serve on the board). Serah was awarded a scholarship to study abroad in Panama this year. At just 16 years old, over her 2 years as a BG Scholar, Serah will engage in: summer study abroad; an intensive language immersion institute; a paid internship with a private company, NGO, or government agency; a Global Leadership Academy; and a social entrepreneurship & leadership development project designed by her to tackle a "local problem of global significance" that will share her international experiences with people in her own community.

Your contribution will help an indvididual who has shown outstanding  honors scholarship, yet never had the opportunity to travel beyond her city's limits. If you've had the blessing to travel abroad, experience other cultures, then you understand how vital the "a-ha!" moment is when you realize how life extends far beyond the United States. Serah is also on her way to college next year (a first for many of these scholars in their families).

This trip will change her life. Your donation will help cover her costs and of course, is TAX DEDUCTIBLE (a receipt will follow that you can include in your taxes).
