Have you ever missed your friends so much you wanted to step back in time to see them?
     I have. Its how I feel right now about the friends I've made over the past eight years at Camp Del Corazon.
I am Lucas Fisher and I was born with a heart condition that required two open heart surgeries, 10 months in the hospital and more ongoing checkups and tests that I can count over my fourteen and a half years. I am lucky for many reasons, but mostly because my heart condition has led me to be the person I am today!

Since second grade, I've attended a weekly summer camp at Camp Del Corazon which is a non-profit organization that provides year-round opportunities for children with heart disease. This camp is very dear to me and I have made many friends over the years. We keep in touch on Facebook, but there's nothing like seeing each other face to face once a year too. Heart Camp ,as I call it, provides unexplainable amounts of fun and activities I can only do at camp, like boomball, which is baseball but instead of a bat the batter uses a huge water dispenser. I have made my favorite memories and some of my closest friends there. I can not wait to attend camp in 2012!
