“Walk for the Animals 2011”
As most of you know Phoebe is a Certified Animal Assisted Therapy Dog. This year, like last, we will be walking with the “Animal Assisted Therapy Pack”. As you all know, animals are our love and passion. The Humane Society not only helps thousands of animals each year, but helps support many educational programs and healing through Pet Therapy. What most people don’t know is that the Humane Society is supported 100% by donations and gets no county or federal help and is not related to the United States Humane Society. Please help your local community by donating what you can, $5, $10 or $20, every little bit helps.
2009 was a great walk for our AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy) team. Our pack was able to raise over $32,000.00 and we came in 1st place! It was quite an accomplishment for us all. And in 2010, with a very hard economy, we still raised $23,356.78 and came in 2nd place. The 1st place team was just a little bit ahead with$25,002.00. Well in 2011, we are taking 1st place back! Please help us to meet our goal.
On March 5, 2011 come rain or shine, Scoocie & Phoebe and baby Samantha will be walking 1.25 miles along with thousands of other two and four legged friends to help raise money for the animals. I know with your help and support we can raise even more than ever in 2011. Please help give back just a little to the animals, who cannot help themselves, by either donating a small amount or showing your support by coming out and walking on March 5, 2011.
