Dear Friends:
Please sponsor me! I just signed-up for the hardest assignment I may ever have – I’m going to teach geography! No, it’s not language arts, so I can’t fall back on what I usually do in the classroom. Instead, I’m actually learning how to design and deliver a lesson on geography. It's a good thing I have been to a few places besides Miami...like Kentucky.
It’s all part of The Education Fund’s 2011 Teach-A-Thon, a walk-a-thon with a twist. I get to walk in the shoes of a teacher! Actually, I am going to teach with three teachers, all of whom need supplies. Keep that in mind when you donate.
How many minutes do YOU think I will last in the classroom? I’m asking you to come up with a number and make a donation based on your expectations. Or better yet, challenge me with your largess.
With your sponsorship, teachers will:
- Get the supplies they need for their students,
- Purchase teaching aids, inspirational items for students, educational games,
- And, even receive support for field trips, art projects, and innovative hands-on activities.
Join me as we celebrate the many teachers who changed our lives and pushed us into exciting new paths!
Learn more about the campaign by visiting The Education Fund’s Web site at www.educationfund.org.
And, please sponsor me! Make a tax-deductible contribution to The Education Fund through the Teach-A-Thon. You’ll not only support our teachers, but also invest in our children’s future.
MAKE ME DONATE $600.00! i WILL PERSONALLY MATCH DONATIONS MADE BY MY SPONSORS DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR UP TO $600 DOLLARS. IF WE REACH OUR JOINT GOAL OF $1200, EACH OF MY 3 TEACHERS WILL HAVE $200 FOR SUPPLIES AND TEACHER MINI-GRANTS WILL HAVE $600 TO AWARD A TEACHER.
Thank you, in advance, for supporting my volunteer efforts. MAKE ME PAY UP! Donate now. You can check our progress on the Ed Fund site.
Sincerely,
Lucy Petrey
