Thank you for taking the first step in getting to know Nevada.

Nevada is a sweet mare that was rescued from a Nevada feedlot (thus her name) in November of 2007. She and her six month old foal were headed to slaughter. They were lucky and funds were raised and both were rescued and taken in by Pregnant Mare Rescue in Watsonville, Ca. Her foal, now 2 1/2 (and very much loved) has found his forever home, but Nevada, after one unsuccessful adoption, was returned to PMR and has been in their care again for the past year.

Although a very sweet mare, finding a home for her will be challenging. She is a very big girl and needs a pasture and her own person. Unable to be ridden, you can see why finding her a home is such a challenge. Pregnant Mare Rescue is committed to her care until this happens, but would greatly appreciate any help possible in meeting the costs of her monthly care.

Any sponsorship, no matter how small, would help immensely. Ideally if you could help out on a monthly basis - even $10.00 a month - this would help with the cost of her care until her new home is found.
